Parlay Calculator
Work out exactly what a parlay pays before you place it. Add up to 15 legs in decimal or American odds, set your stake in CAD, and see the combined odds, total payout, profit and the real implied probability of the bet landing.
Every leg must win for a parlay to pay out. The more legs you add, the lower the real chance of winning — bet responsibly.
How parlay payouts are calculated
A parlay (also called an accumulator) combines several bets into one. The math is simple in decimal odds — the Canadian standard: multiply every leg's odds together, then multiply by your stake. Three legs at 1.91 × 2.10 × 1.75 give combined odds of 7.02, so a $20 stake returns $140.42 total.
The catch: your real chance of winning shrinks with every leg. Two coin-flip legs land about 25% of the time; five land about 3% of the time. The calculator shows the implied probability of your combined odds so you can see that trade-off before betting. If you bet, do it with a licensed Ontario sportsbook, keep stakes small, and treat parlays as entertainment — never as a way to make money.
Frequently asked questions
How does a parlay calculator work?
It converts every leg of your bet to decimal odds, multiplies them together to get the combined odds, and multiplies that by your stake. For example, two legs at 1.91 and 2.10 give combined odds of 4.01 — a $10 stake returns $40.11 in total ($30.11 profit).
How are parlay odds calculated in Canada?
Canadian sportsbooks display decimal odds by default, which makes parlays easy: multiply the decimals of every leg. American odds are first converted to decimal (+150 becomes 2.50, -110 becomes 1.91) and then multiplied the same way.
What happens if one leg of my parlay loses?
The whole parlay loses. Every single leg must win for a parlay to pay out — that is why the payouts look so attractive and why the real probability of winning drops quickly as you add legs.
What does implied probability mean for a parlay?
It is the chance of winning implied by the combined odds (1 divided by the decimal odds). A parlay at combined odds of 8.00 has an implied probability of 12.5% — attractive payout, but you should expect to lose it most of the time.
Are parlays a good bet?
Parlays multiply the bookmaker's margin on every leg, so the house edge grows with each selection. They can be fun with small stakes, but they are one of the least efficient ways to bet. Set a budget, treat them as entertainment, and never chase losses.
Where can I legally place a parlay in Canada?
With sportsbooks licensed in your province — in Ontario that means operators regulated by the AGCO through iGaming Ontario, such as TonyBet or Sports Interaction. You must be 19+ (18+ in AB, MB, QC).
